We are currently seeking an experienced Yard Tug Operator with an MC licence, to start immediately for a well known Transport & Logistics company located in Salisbury, SA.

Position Details:
Role: Yard Tug Operator with MC Licence
Location: Salisbury
Shift Time: 12:30 pm - 9:00pm (depending on operational requirements)
Payrate: $46.53/h

To be successful you MUST:
Have previous experience operating a Yard Tug or moving trailer within a transport yard (Minimum 1 year)
Have a valid/current MC Licence
Having a current LF forklift license is highly beneficial but not essential
Be physically fit and able to manually handle up to 20kgs (if required)
Have exceptional attendance and high attention to detail




Work with a sense of urgency and be able to work well in a team
Exhibit valuable spatial awareness
Be comfortable working in a busy transport depot
Must have 2 references from previous freight sorting/pick packing positions

Key Responsibilities:
Operating the yard tug to safely move B-double trailers, B-single trailers and HR rigid vehicles around the depot.
Setting up linehaul trailers for the afternoon operations.
Coordinating trailer movements to support pickup and delivery activities throughout the day.
Managing the movement and positioning of rigid vehicles and trailers during peak operational periods.
Working closely with depot operations to ensure trailers are available and positioned on time.
Following all site safety procedures and maintaining a safe working setting.
