About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Medical Secretary to join our friendly team at our busy Colorectal & General Surgery practice, in Murdoch. This is a permanent full-time role, Monday to Friday, though for the right candidate a 9-day full-time role, is an option. Versatile working hours will be considered to support a positive work life balance. Shared parking bay available. Your main responsibilities will be predominantly in accounts management and theatre/procedural bookings, must have experience in these areas and be able to provide general administrative support, to ensure the smooth running of the practice.

What you'll be doing
Accounts management, inpatient billing (via ECLIPSE), DVA, Workcover, Medicare billing, quoting and account reconciliation.
Handling theatre/procedural bookings.
Handling patient inquiries and correspondence.
Providing administrative support to the day-today operations of the practice.

What we're looking for




Previous experience as a Medical Secretary in a specialist practice
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
Experience in accounts management.
Managing theatre/procedural bookings, lists and surgical quoting.
Experience with Genie (preferred) or Gentu Software.
