A well-known Australian enterprise organisation is seeking a Security Engineer with strong detection and response experience to join their team on an initial twelve month program engagement.
Joining a high-profile cyber security program focused on the use of AI technologies within cyber security, the successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing the organisation's detection and response capabilities across endpoint, cloud, and identity security. Working within a cooperative security team, you will leverage your solid EDR/XDR and cloud security expertise to improve threat detection, automate response capabilities, and strengthen the organisation's overall security posture.
To be successful in this role you will need:
Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant industry certifications
Proven experience in Security Operations, Detection Engineering, or Security Engineering within large and complex environments
Deep experience with EDR/XDR platforms, ideally CrowdStrike Falcon or similar enterprise security technologies
Strong experience managing endpoint security controls, detection rules, policy configuration, threat response, and exposure management capabilities
Experience with CSPM, CNAPP, and cloud security posture management across enterprise cloud environments
Robust understanding of detection engineering, threat detection lifecycles, and security monitoring methodologies
Experience integrating security tooling across endpoint, cloud, identity, and security operations platforms
Strong experience with Python scripting, APIs, Git, and CI/CD pipelines
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
