Eating House Rowville is seeking a capable and motivated Junior Sous Chef to join our established kitchen leadership team.

Operating since 2004, Eating House is a busy, modern restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced chef ready to step into a leadership position and develop under our Head Chef.

The role

You will support the Head Chef and senior kitchen team with:
Leading kitchen service and maintaining smooth daily operations
Supervising, supporting and training kitchen staff
Maintaining consistent food quality, presentation and portion control
Assisting with preparation, ordering, stock rotation and waste control
Monitoring food safety, cleanliness and kitchen procedures
Helping manage wage efficiency and staff deployment
Taking responsibility for the kitchen when senior leaders are unavailable
Contributing ideas for specials and menu development

About you
Full Australian working rights
Previous experience as a senior chef,



Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef
Strong cooking skills and confidence working in a busy service environment
Reliable, organised and calm under pressure
Able to lead by example and communicate effectively
Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen cleanliness
Committed to consistency, teamwork and high standards
Available across a flexible seven-day roster, including weekends
