Male Disability Support Worker – Casual

Location: Dee Why, NSW

Pay Rate: $40/hour (inclusive of casual loading, excluding superannuation)

Employment Type: Casual

We are looking for a male Disability Support Worker to support a young male client living with a psychosocial disability. Please note the client smokes.

Shifts hours: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM and 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Available on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday

Key Responsibilities
Provide person-centred support to the client
Support with community access activities (outings, social engagement, appointments, etc.)
Drive the client to appointments, and community activities
Assist with daily living support when required
Encourage independence, social interaction, and engagement
Be respectful and accommodating of the client's smoking habits during shifts
Maintain clear communication and accurate shift notes

Requirement
Experience working with people with psychosocial disability




Aware of the risks of physical and verbal aggression
Valid Driver's Licence and access to a vehicle
NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
First Aid & CPR Certificate (or willing to obtain)
Reliable and positive attitude
Strong communication skills and a positive, friendly personality
