About the role

Emerald Medical Group is seeking a warm, engaging, energetic and customer-focused Medical Receptionist to join the team on a casual basis. The position will provide additional reception support during busiest periods, with shifts of approximately three hours during peak times: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and/or 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Additional hours may be available to cover staff leave and other busy periods. The role focuses on creating a positive patient experience from the moment a patient walks through the door or calls the practice through to check-out.

Key responsibilities
Welcoming patients in a friendly and professional manner
Answering telephone calls and responding to patient enquiries
Booking, confirming and managing appointments
Checking patients in and out
Processing payments and assisting with general billing tasks




Managing emails and completing general administrative duties
Maintaining accurate patient information
Working collaboratively with doctors, nurses and administration staff
Protecting patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
