Mechanical Fitter | Industrial Valves

The Company

Our client is an established provider of severe-service valve solutions to the mining, power and water industries.

Operating for more than 20 years, the business supports customers with the inspection, maintenance, repair and rebuilding of critical industrial valves and associated automation equipment.

Due to continued demand, they are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join their workshop team in Perth.

The Role

Working as part of an experienced technical team, you will inspect, assess, service and rebuild a broad range of industrial valves.

Your responsibilities will include:
Reading technical drawings and equipment specifications
Stripping, assessing and rebuilding industrial valves
Inspecting knife gate, ball, check, butterfly and control valves
Servicing actuators and associated automation equipment
Identifying required materials, parts and equipment
Completing accurate inspection and service reports
Providing safe and efficient mechanical maintenance services




Maintaining a clean and organised workshop

The Candidate

You will have a strong mechanical aptitude and practical experience working with industrial equipment.

Ideally, you will offer:
Mechanical fitting or similar trade experience
At least 2 years’ relevant industry experience
Previous valve, pump or rotating-equipment exposure
Ability to interpret drawings and specifications
Solid fault-finding and problem-solving skills
A careful and methodical approach to repairs
Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
Solid work ethic and reliability
Australian working rights
Forklift licence advantageous
