Experienced Medical Receptionist – Part-Time

We are seeking a friendly, professional and highly organised Medical Receptionist to join our busy and supportive general practice team on a part time basis.

The successful candidate will be confident working in a quick-paced GP clinic and committed to providing excellent service to patients, doctors and colleagues.

Essential requirements
Previous reception experience in a GP medical practice
Strong working knowledge of Best Practice software
Experience with Medicare billing, private billing and payment processing
Excellent communication and customer-service skills
Solid attention to detail and the ability to multitask
Qualified, reliable and compassionate manner
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Understanding of patient confidentiality and privacy requirements

Key responsibilities:
Managing appointments, telephone calls and patient enquiries
Greeting patients and maintaining an efficient reception area




Processing Medicare and private billings accurately
Taking payments and reconciling daily transactions
Scanning, filing and managing correspondence
Supporting doctors and clinical staff with administrative duties
Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records
