Gather by Cater Care is seeking a motivated Commis Chef / Demi Chef to join our team at International House Kitchen, Parkville. Prepare fresh, nutritious meals for students while developing your skills in a busy education catering workplace.

Enjoy a stable part-time roster, supportive team culture and school holiday breaks, including a summer stand-down period over December and January.

Roster
Monday: 9:30am - 5:30pm
Tuesday & Thursday: 6:30am - 3:00pm
Wednesday: 11:30am - 7:30pm
Friday: 2:00pm - 7:00pm

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and serve fresh, high-quality meals including bulk cooking
Support Senior Chefs with daily kitchen operations
Assist with food preparation, service and general kitchen duties
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness




Deliver quality food service in a busy catering environment

About You

Desired Skills and Experience
Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or similar role
School or large-scale catering experience is highly regarded
Robust understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
Reliable, organised and able to work effectively in a team
A Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain)
