We are currently seeking an experienced Light Plant / Mower Mechanic to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled mechanic looking for a hands-on role working with a variety of small plant, machinery and equipment.

About the Role

As a Light Plant / Mower Mechanic, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, repairs and preparation of a range of light plant and mowing equipment. You will play an significant role in ensuring machinery is safe, reliable and ready for use.

Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, service and repair light plant and mowing equipment
Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance
Perform mechanical repairs and fault finding
Service small engines, mowers and associated equipment
Inspect equipment and identify mechanical issues
Prepare machinery for hire and ensure it is protected and operational
Maintain accurate service and repair records
Keep the workshop and work areas clean, organised and safe
Assist with general mechanical duties as required

About You

We are looking for someone who has:
Previous experience as a small engine, mower,



plant or mechanical technician
Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
Experience working with petrol and diesel engines
A practical, hands‑on approach to problem solving
Valuable attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
A strong focus on workplace health and safety
A current driver's licence

A relevant mechanical trade qualification will be highly regarded, however candidates with strong practical experience are encouraged to apply.
