Grosvenor Mine has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis, based in Moranbah. This is your chance to join a team of passionate and supportive industry leading experts where you can drive your future career.

You will provide strategic advice to the Technical Services, Operations and Compliance departments on geotechnical issues. A high level of strategic thinking, planning and problem-solving skills will be instrumental in your success in this role.

Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, this key role will see you:
Maintain geotechnical oversight of underground operations and audit compliance with corporate standards and approved support designs.
Design ground support and monitoring systems to support secure and productive mine operations.




Conduct regular underground inspections to audit installed strata support and strata conditions to confirm the effectiveness in accordance with the approved support designs.
Provide strategic advice to the Technical Services and Mining Operations departments on how to maximise the value of the operation.
Advise management and operational staff on geotechnical issues.
Manage the Strata Defect System and ensure compliance with the Geotechnical Operational Management System.
Advise and assist engineers with recommendations on geotechnical and hydro-geological issues regarding mine design, planning and operations.
Understand and comply with all legislative and company safety, health, environment, cost and production objectives, guidelines, procedures, and requirements relevant to the qualified management of ground conditions.
Provide mentoring and training to personnel with respect to strata support systems.
