Aussie Care and Supports Pty Ltd – Narellan NSW

Aussie Care and Supports are seeking a passionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team to work with clients in South West Sydney (Narellan). These casual role will involve providing personalised care and support to clients with a range of disabilities who is in a wheelchair, helping them to live independently and engage with their local community.

What you'll be doing
Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks - must have the ability to use a lifter confidentially and female (participant is indigenous and prefers females)
Accompanying clients to appointments, social activities, and community events in her disability van
Providing support overnight and sleepover shifts (active) and pickup shifts throughout the day (morning, afternoon and evening shifts)
Providing emotional support and encouragement to help clients achieve their goals
Documenting client progress and updating care plans as required
Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety protocols

What we're looking for
Previous experience working in the disability or aged care sector, or a relevant qualification (e.g. Certificate III in Individual Support)



- experienced in using a lifter for personal care is a must.
Valid work visa required for employment
NDIS Worker Screening Check must be obtained before starting employment.
Robust communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with clients and their families
A patient, empathetic, and person-centred approach to care
Excellent time management and organisational skills
A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
