An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Assistant to join a leading, well-established Corporate and Commercial team in the Melbourne CBD.
This role would suit an intermediate Legal Assistant with around 3–4 years’ experience who has genuine Corporate and/or Commercial legal experience and is looking to join a busy and collaborative team supporting a team of lawyers.
About the role
Providing day-to-day legal and administrative support.
Managing matters, correspondence, documents and key deadlines
Preparing and formatting legal documents and correspondence
Assisting with corporate transactions, due diligence and transaction processes
Conducting ASIC and other relevant searches
Coordinating document execution and signing
Assisting with client onboarding and matter administration
Liaising with clients and external stakeholders
Assisting with billing, WIP and end-of-month processes

About you
3–4 years’ Legal Assistant experience
Previous experience within a Corporate and/or Commercial legal practice is essential
Strong understanding of commercial legal processes
Excellent organisation and attention to detail
Proactive, reliable and willing to take initiative
Positive attitude and strong team approach
Able to manage a busy workload and work autonomously
