RN - Port Macquarie - Operating Theatres

Port Macquarie Base Hospital is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join its Operating Theatres team on an 8-week contract basis, starting immediately. This is an excellent opportunity for theatre nurses looking for focused, short-term work in a busy surgical setting. Based in Port Macquarie, NSW, the role offers a competitive hourly rate of AUD$45.00 to AUD$60.00, with the added benefit of onsite accommodation provided at Rotary Lodge. Two full-time positions are available for scrub and scout nurses.
Immediate start with flexible 8-week contract duration
AUD$45.00 to AUD$60.00 per hour, plus onsite accommodation at Rotary Lodge
Two FTE positions available in scrub and scout specialties

Preferred Requirements
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA




Demonstrated experience in operating theatre nursing, with competence in scrub and/or scout roles
Current NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC)
Robust knowledge of surgical instruments, aseptic technique, and theatre protocols
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical workplace and communicate clearly with the surgical team

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification with current AHPRA registration
Post-graduate qualification or certification in perioperative nursing
Experience in a public hospital operating theatre setting
