About the role
We have a Medical Receptionist role available at East Canberra General Practice, located next to Costco in Canberra Airport Precinct. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated and supportive healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a crucial administrative and customer service role, ensuring the smooth running of the medical practice.
Full Time role.

What you'll be doing

Greeting and welcoming patients upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression
Scheduling and managing patient appointments, including follow-up calls and reminders
Handling patient enquiries and providing exceptional customer service
Maintaining accurate medical records and filing patient documentation
Assisting with general administrative tasks such as data entry and inventory management

Demonstrating a professional and empathetic approach when interacting with patients

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a medical/healthcare receptionist or administrative role
Robust communication and interpersonal skills,



with the ability to interact with patients and staff in a warm and friendly manner
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
Proficient in using medical practice management software and standard office applications
Experience with Best Practice medical practice management software is desired but not necessary.
A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and data protection
