Stream A, Level 5- $80,****** per annum
Maranoa locality allowance $***** per fortnight
Work a 9-day fortnight with a Rostered Day Off.

About the Role
The Aquatic Supervisor is responsible for the safe, efficient, and professional operation of all aquatic areas at the Denise Spencer Aquatic Centre.
This role oversees swimming coaching programs, water quality management, lifeguard supervision, and general aquatic operations to ensure a high-quality, safe, and community-focused aquatic environment.
The Supervisor provides leadership to lifeguards and coaching staff, ensures compliance with industry standards,



and supports the Centre Manager in delivering exceptional aquatic services.
Key Responsibilities
Swimming Coaching & Aquatic Programs
Program Development — Plan, deliver, and oversee squad training, stroke development, and aquatic fitness programs.
Coaching Supervision — Mentor and support coaching staff to ensure consistent program quality.
Athlete Progression — Track swimmer development, maintain training plans, and communicate with parents and athletes.
Event Coordination - Assist with swim meets, time trials, and community aquatic events.
Water Quality & Plant Operations
Water Testing - Conduct and record regular water chemistry tests in line with Queensland Health standards.
Plant Room Oversight - Monitor filtration, dosing systems, pumps, and backwashing schedules.
Compliance Monitoring - Ensure water quality meets all regulatory and safety requirements.
Maintenance Coordinator - Report faults, support contractors, and assist with preventative maintenance planning.
Lifeguard Supervision & Safety
Lifeguard leadership - Supervise, mentor, and support lifeguards to maintain vigilance and safety standards.
Rostering - Develop and manage lifeguard rosters to ensure adequate coverage across all aquatic zones.
Emergency Readiness - Lead emergency response drills and ensure staff competency in rescue procedures.
Incident Management - Oversee incident reporting, debriefing,



and follow up actions.
General Aquatic Operations
Daily Operations - Ensure pools, equipment, and aquatic spaces are safe, clean and ready for use.
Patron engagement - Provide professional support to patrons, clubs, and community groups.
Facility Planning - Assist with scheduling, programming, and operational planning.
Risk Management - Identify hazards, implement controls, and uphold safety standards.
Leadership & Team Support
Team Leadership - Provide positive, hands-on leadership across all aquatic operations.
Training & Development - Support staff with inductions, ongoing training and professional development
Performance Monitoring - Provide feedback, coaching, and support to ensure high performance.
