Key Federal Government agencyis seeking multipleCyber Security Specialiststo support a major cyber security program contributing to alarge-scale, high-impact 3-year modernisation program.
The successfulCyber Security Specialistswill be engaged on an initial 12-month contract, withextension options, and flexible hybrid work arrangements based in Canberra.
The successful Cyber Security Specialist will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Conducting comprehensive risk assessments across IT systems, applications, and third-party vendors.
Evaluating and monitoring compliance withPSPF, ISM, Essential Eight, and international frameworks such asISO *****andNIST.
Developing and maintaining cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures to strengthen governance and compliance.
Supporting audits and certification processes, includingIRAP assessments, and providing reports with actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders.




The successful Cyber Security Specialist will have experience in the following:
Demonstrated experience preparing ICT system authorisation documentation such asSRMPs, SSPs, and SOPs.
Solid technical experience acrosssystem administration, software development, or cloud computing.
In-depth knowledge ofAustralian Government cyber security standards, includingPSPFandISM.
Familiarity withAWS, Azure, Kubernetes, or Identity & Access Management.
