PMO Lead - Major Technology Transformation Program
12-month contract | Sydney | Hybrid
We are partnering with a large, complex organisation undergoing a significant technology transformation and are looking for an experienced PMO Lead to support a major enterprise program.
This is not a traditional PMO role focused purely on templates, reporting and process.
The successful person will need to bring strong governance capability and a genuine understanding of complex technology delivery.
The program is fast-moving, highly visible and involves multiple workstreams, vendors, technical dependencies and executive stakeholders.
The PMO Lead will play a critical role in bringing structure, clarity and insight across the program.
The Role
Working closely with the Program Manager and senior workstream leads, you will:
Lead PMO governance across a large-scale technology program
Maintain oversight of the integrated program plan, key milestones and dependencies
Own and drive effective RAID management
Coordinate fortnightly and monthly reporting cycles
Support preparation of Steering Committee and executive-level reporting
Work with delivery leads to understand progress, risks, issues and emerging impacts
Connect information across multiple workstreams and identify downstream implications
Challenge inconsistencies and ensure reporting reflects the true position of the program
Translate complex delivery activity into concise, executive-ready reporting
Support financial, planning and broader governance processes
Help ensure governance enables delivery rather than becoming a blocker




Provide direction and support to PMO resources
About You
We are looking for someone who has operated in a genuine enterprise program environment and understands how quickly priorities can shift.
You will ideally bring:
Significant experience leading PMO functions within complex technology programs
Strong integrated planning, governance, RAID and dependency management capability
Previous hands-on exposure to project or program delivery
The ability to understand testing cycles, technical dependencies and delivery impacts without needing to be a technical specialist
Excellent executive reporting and written communication skills
Experience preparing Steering Committee, board or senior executive packs
Robust stakeholder management and influencing capability
The confidence to challenge senior stakeholders and workstream leads constructively
A pragmatic approach to governance, with the ability to operate at pace
Consulting or large transformation experience highly regarded
