Working as part of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking dishes to a consistently high standard while helping maintain an organised, efficient and professional kitchen.
Employment type: Permanent full-time, minimum 38 hours per week
Experience: At least one year of relevant experience as a Cook in a restaurant or comparable commercial kitchen
Key responsibilities
Preparing and cooking menu items according to restaurant recipes and standards
Completing daily food preparation and mise en place
Maintaining consistency in food quality, presentation and portioning
Working across different sections of the kitchen as required
Supporting the Head Chef and senior kitchen team during service
Receiving, rotating and correctly storing food and kitchen supplies
Following food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures
Maintaining a clean and organised workstation
Assisting with stock control and minimising food waste
Working effectively with the wider kitchen and front-of-house teams
About you




At least one year of relevant experience as a Cook in a restaurant or comparable commercial kitchen
Is comfortable working in a busy service environment
Has good food preparation and cooking skills
Takes pride in consistency and presentation
Understands food safety and kitchen hygiene requirements
Is reliable, punctual and organised
Works well as part of a team
Has a positive attitude and willingness to learn
Is available to work a flexible roster including evenings and weekends
Experience with Italian cuisine, pasta, pizza would be highly regarded
