AWC and AYWC Positions

Manager (Head Coach)

Lead overall team preparation and performance for the National Championships

Coordinate team selection with BNSW Player Development staff, per Selection Policy

Oversee pre-tournament preparation, player workload management and injury prevention

Own all game-day strategy and preparation

Uphold BNSW Ethics & Expectations Policy across athletes and staff

Ensure qualified presentation of the team and proper care of BNSW equipment

Reports to: BNSW Player & Coach Development Manager

Assistant Coach

Support the Manager across all preparation and game-day activities

Assist with team selection and player workload/injury prevention monitoring

Work directly with athletes to develop offensive and defensive skills

Support off-field athlete supervision as directed

Uphold BNSW Ethics & Expectations Policy

Reports to: Team Manager and BNSW Player & Coach Development Manager

Pitching Coach

Lead development and coordination of the team's pitching group

Manage pitching workloads with a focus on best-practice injury prevention

Design and run pitching drills and instructional sessions

Oversee pitching-related equipment, facilities and pitch-charting activities

Reports to: Team Manager and BNSW Player & Coach Development Manager

Development Coach

Support individual athlete skill development alongside the coaching group

Assist with team selection and preparation activities

Contribute to player workload monitoring and best-practice development methods

Uphold BNSW Ethics & Expectations Policy

Reports to: Team Manager and BNSW Player & Coach Development Manager

Executive Officer

(Does not require coaching criteria - WWCC only)

Manage all off-field logistics: travel, accommodation, meals, transport and daily schedules (in consultation with Baseball Australia)

Coordinate equipment acquisition, inventory and facility standards

Oversee game-day operational needs (food, water, ice, pre/post-game logistics)

Manage team laundry arrangements

Coordinate medical scheduling and support for injured players/staff

Responsible for off-field athlete conduct

Maintain financial records and submit a final report to Baseball Australia within 28 days of program completion

Reports to: Head Coach and BNSW Player & Coach Development Manager
