MacKillop Education is a Catholic Specialist P–12 school.
We support children and young people who are disengaged, or at risk of disengaging, from mainstream education. Our students often have experienced significant trauma and present with complex and diverse needs. As a result, they may find self-regulation challenging and can display heightened social, emotional, and behavioural support requirements.
We have 1x Permanent Full-time opportunity available based in Caulfield, Victoria.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking aGeneralist Teacher to join our Caulfield Campusbringing your passion, creativity, and commitment to student success-and help shape brighter futures every day. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to inspire, engage, and empower students in a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning workplace.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inspire learning:Deliver engaging, flexible programs tailored to diverse student needs
Make an impact:Use evidence-informed teaching aligned with the MacKillop Education Instructional Model
Support every student:Provide both classroom teaching and targeted 1:1 support where needed
Drive growth:Develop and implement Individual Education and Safety Plans with high expectations for success
Champion wellbeing:Apply trauma-informed and restorative practices to support learning, behaviour, and re-engagement
Engage families:Build strong partnerships with carers and support networks through proactive communication
Guide transitions:Create thoughtful,
student-centred transition plans that foster confidence and continuity
Lead by example:Model unconditional positive regard and a strong commitment to child safety
Go beyond the classroom:Take part in camps, excursions, and enriching learning experiences
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A four-year teaching qualification or equivalent and eligibility for Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration
Demonstrated understanding of and experience in implementing highly aspirational initiatives in student learning, informed by the Victorian Curriculum
Experience in the design, delivery and assessment of programs that cater for the diverse and complex needs of individual learners, and engage students who have a range of learning difficulties and challenging behaviours
Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively and creatively with colleagues to improve the quality of programs and enhance student outcomes

You must have a:
Valid and current Driver's Licence;
Satisfactory Criminal History Check;
Valid Employee Working with Children Check;
Valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check (for risk assessed / client facing roles)
