We are a large 22 GP, doctor-owned general practice on Brisbane's northside, owned by a board of GP shareholder-directors, and the RACGP Queensland General Practice of the Year for ****.
We are deeply connected to our community, and our work extends beyond the consulting room, from social prescribing activities for older residents in the area to regular support for local charities.
The Practice Manager plays a part in that.
We are a teaching practice, training RACGP registrars and hosting medical students, and we believe that good clinical care is built on strong doctor-patient relationships.
About the role
Banyo Clinic is looking for a Practice Manager to take accountability for how the practice runs: its people, its systems and its compliance obligations.
Full-time, based on site, reporting to the board through the Managing Director.
It is a broad role, and it is supported.
You would have a full time Assistant Practice Manager, senior reception and nursing staff, and an in house accountant who prepares payroll, invoicing and financial reporting.
Daily operations, rosters, and the reception, nursing and administration teams
Supporting the general practitioners who consult at the practice, so clinical time is protected
Patient feedback, complaints and compliments, through to resolution
Human resources, from recruitment and onboarding through to performance reviews
Accreditation, quality improvement, and compliance with the RACGP Standards
Registrar and medical student placements, and the training compliance that goes with them
Practice Incentives Program and Workforce Incentive Program requirements
Facilities,



equipment and calibration schedules across the premises
Oversight of the property portfolio, including leases, tenancies and maintenance, with transactional support from our finance function
Approving payroll and creditor payments prepared by our accountant, within a clear delegation
Representing the practice with the accrediting agency, the RACGP, universities, the Primary Health Network, allied health providers and suppliers
Reporting to the board and giving the directors what they need in order to make decisions
About you
At least three years managing a general practice or comparable healthcare setting
Experience leading and developing a team
Experience with general practice accreditation and the RACGP Standards
Working knowledge of the Fair Work Act, the National Employment Standards and the relevant awards
Familiarity with Medicare, PIP and WIP
A current CPR certificate, or willingness to obtain one, and a national police check
Experience with Best Practice, PracticeHub, AutoMed, Cubiko, Tanda and Xero is an advantage, as is AAPM membership, experience with commercial tenancies, and experience reporting to a board rather than a single owner.
$110,000 to $130,000 plus superannuation
Full-time onsite preference, with negotiable flexible arrangements
Direct access to the Managing Director and Clinical Director, with board support
