We're currently looking for an experienced Merchandise Planner to join our Dangerfield team based at our head office in Abbotsford.
The role involves taking ownership of merchandise planning from concept through to sale - shaping the numbers behind the ranges our customers love.
You'll bring sharp retail planning skills, strong financial acumen, and a genuine feel for trends to a fast-moving, close-knit team where your work has real, visible impact.
What you'll be doing:
Producing accurate, timely weekly, monthly, and seasonal trading reports
Developing and owning merchandise plans and contributing to financial forecasts
Overseeing and training the Planning Assistant
Understanding sales and trend performance by account and category to spot opportunities early
Keeping departments in the loop on in-season changes, with clear, practical merchandising assistance and recommendations
Delivering end-of-season reporting - including TY/LYcategory and colour selling analysis,



best sellers/reorders, bought vs sold
Managing stock movement: allocation, consolidation, end-of-season recalls
Demonstrating proficiency in AP21 data entry and system administration for the role
Setting up and contributing to range reviews
Arming the retail team with the tools they need - selling reports, line lists, pricing
Partnering across the business with Marketing, Finance, Production, Design and Retail teams to keep everyone aligned on the bigger picture.
What you'll bring:
Proven experience as a Planner or similar role within fashion/apparel
A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Fashion Merchandising or related field (or equivalent on-the-job experience)
Skills in Excel and relevant planning systems (e.g. AP21)
Robust retail knowledge, financial acumen, and a knack for solving problems with data
Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
Experience in market analysis and customer trends
Confident, clear communication and a deadline-driven mindset
