About The Role
Our Business Services team is looking for a hands-on, Intermediate Accountant to join our friendly, collaborative team within our Brisbane office.
As an Intermediate Accountant, you'll play an important part in delivering quality work for our clients while continuing to build your technical capability.
In This Role You Will
Prepare financial statements and tax returns - individuals, companies, trusts and SMSFs
Manage BAS, IAS and ATO compliance obligations across your client portfolio
Support and mentor junior accountants within the team
Collaborate with clients to resolve queries and assist with tax planning activities
Manage your own workflow and deadlines with some oversight, within a structured team environment
Professional development is a key focus at Bentleys.
You'll keep your technical knowledge current through training, research, and on-the-job learning, all while expanding your understanding of tax legislation, advisory work, and accounting standards.
About You




To be considered for the role you will have:
Relevant Bachelor's degree with focus in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
At least 1-2 years' experience in public practice accounting.
Be working towards, or keen to commence your CA/CPA qualifications
Knowledge of Australian Tax legislation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (particularly Excel).
Experience with accounting software (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, etc.).
