About the role:
Our team is growing, and we are currently seeking motivated individuals to join us in the position ofCleanersandFood Service AssistantsatWantirna Hospital (Melbourne, Victoria)on aCasualorPart Timebasis.
Key Responsibilities
Cleaners:
Safe handling of chemical and/or hazardous substances in the performance of cleaning duties
Decontamination of surfaces after the initial clinical waste spillage has been removed by clinical staff
Identifying and recording any problems relating to cleaning services and/or safety
You must be able to work within a 24/7 rotating roster
Food Service Assistants:
Maintain a high standard of food services in accordance with Food Safety Legislation and Food Services Procedures
Preparation and presentation of patient meals such as salads, sandwiches and drinks
Cleaning and sanitizing of patient meal trays, cutlery, crockery and trolleys
Preparation of work stations including assembly of items and stocking of consumables

About you
Demonstrate a positive attitude and drive to deliver strong customer service
Previous experience in a hospital or aged care environment is desired
Current Food Safety Certificate isrequiredfor FSA roles
Flexibility to work a rotational roster; including early mornings, night shifts, weekends and public holidays
Police Clearance, or ability to obtain, isessential
DHS Working with Children Check (WWCC), or ability to obtain, isessential
Evidence of immunisation for current influenza isessential
