About the role
Due to continued investment and growth, Bartier Perry has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Supervisor to join our Finance team on a 12 to 15-month fixed-term contract.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is an ideal opportunity for an experienced finance professional seeking a broad, hands‐on role and the chance to make a meaningful contribution within a respected Sydney law firm.
While this role is based in our Sydney CBD office, at Bartier Perry we all have the opportunity to work flexibly and remotely.

Key responsibilities
Supervise and support a team of two experienced Accounts Assistants
Manage the processing and payment of supplier invoices
Review trust account payments to ensure compliance with regulatory obligations, internal policies and audit requirements
Coordinate the monthly payroll process for over 330 employees through an outsourced payroll provider
Assist with daily bank reconciliations and allocation of receipting
Respond to internal and external enquiries with a strong client service focus
Oversee and coordinate finance-related administrative activities
Identify and contribute to process improvement initiatives
Maintain effective financial processes, controls and procedures
Provide broader support to the Finance team as required
About you
Our ideal candidate possesses:
5+ years' experience in a finance supervisory role, ideally within a law firm.
Demonstrated trust accounting experience
Experience coordinating payroll processes and accounts payable functions
Practical hands‐on experience with Aderant Expert or similar practice management software (highly regarded)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook and Word
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to document and improve processes
A proactive, service‐oriented approach with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
