This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands‐on work, takes pride in their workmanship and is looking forongoing employment with the potential to secure a permanent position after a successful 3-month casual trial.
Metal Worker – Building & Construction
The Role
Starting from the Port Kembla depot each day, you'll travel with the team to various commercial construction sites across the region.
Your day-to-day duties will include:
Structural steel installation and fabrication
MIG welding and on-site metal repairs
Measuring, cutting and assembling steel components
Reading and interpreting construction drawings
Installing handrails, balustrades and fabricated steelwork
Operating power and hand tools safely




General construction and metalwork duties
Maintaining a clean and safe worksite
Working with the team to meet project deadlines
About You
We're looking for someone who isreliable, practical and ready to get stuck in.
You'll ideally have:
Previous experience as aMetal Worker, Steel Fabricator or Boilermaker
Experience withMIG welding and general fabrication
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
A currentWhite Card
Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle
A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
A good work ethic and reliable attendance
