3-4 Month Contract
An opportunity exists for an experienced Health & Safety Leader to join a local government organisation on a temporary basis.
Reporting to the Manager Human Resources, you will lead workplace health and safety initiatives, support injury management and workers compensation programs, and help drive a strong safety culture across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Provide WHS advice and support to leaders and employees.
Manage incident investigations, inspections, audits, and regulatory reporting.
Support injury management and return-to-work processes.
Monitor safety performance and recommend continuous improvements.




Deliver WHS training and awareness programs.
Review and develop WHS policies, procedures, and systems.
About You
Qualification in Work Health & Safety or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 3 years' experience in a WHS advisory or leadership role.
Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management, and compliance.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Current Class C Driver Licence.
