Barker Trailers has been manufacturing semi-trailers for over 50 years in Victoria, and we employ approximately 130 staff across our two sites – Woodend and Maryborough.
Our products are sold Australia wide, and we are innovative leaders in design and development of products for the transport sector.
This is a hands-on role preparing and priming heavy trailer components to a high standard before top coating.
We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has a strong work ethic, and understands the importance of quality finishes.
Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing steel components for painting.
Cleaning, sanding, masking, and surface preparation.
Mixing and applying epoxy and primer coatings.
Operating conventional spray equipment.
Identifying and rectifying surface imperfections.




Maintaining a clean and protected work area.
Working with the production team to meet daily targets.
Following all workplace health and safety procedures.
About You
Previous experience as a primer or industrial spray painter.
Experience in the heavy trailer, transport, manufacturing, or structural steel industry (preferred).
Knowledge of epoxy primers and industrial coating systems.
High attention to detail and quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A reliable attitude and strong work ethic.
This is a fulltime permanent role.
