The Position
As a Family Lawyer with 5-8 years' post admission experience, you will carry your own file load across the full spread of family law matters, largely unsupervised.
Your work will include
Property settlements, including complex pools involving businesses, trusts, superannuation splitting and third party interests
Parenting matters, including applications, defended matters, relocation disputes and matters intersecting with family violence




Drafting and negotiating consent orders and binding financial agreements
Advocacy at directions hearings and interim applications, and trials for suitable matters, with counsel briefed on complex files
Family dispute resolution, mediations and settlement negotiations
Mentoring junior lawyers and supporting the team's continued growth

Requirements
5-8 years' post admission experience in family law within Australian private practice
Current practising certificate and admission in Queensland, or eligibility to transfer
Confidence running your own matters end to end with minimal supervision
Strong drafting, negotiation and advocacy skills
A client focused, empathetic approach and the ability to build trusted relationships
