XSP Consulting is seeking an experienced
ICT Support Officerto provide frontline, customer-focused ICT support for an Australian Government client in Barton, ACT.
This is aninitial 3-month contract, with a potential 3-month extension, commencing around 7 September ****.
The role is full-time and 100% onsite.
The role
You will work within a Business Systems team to support staff in Australia and overseas, ensuring reliable day-to-day ICT services and a positive user experience.
Responding to helpdesk requests and resolving routine hardware, software and access issues
Providing skilled, responsive desktop and end-user support
Maintaining accurate service records, documentation and ticket updates
Supporting the deployment, configuration and lifecycle management of ICT equipment
Assisting with operational ICT activities and broader technology projects
Communicating clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What we're looking for
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability across end-user devices, applications and common ICT services




A customer-first approach, with excellent written and verbal communication
Sound administration skills and discipline in ticketing systems and service records
Ability to work independently onsite while contributing effectively to a team
Experience in an Australian Government environment is highly regarded
Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Baseline security clearance
Location: Barton, ACT
Work arrangement: 100% onsite
Engagement: Contract through XSP Consulting
Duration: 3 months initially, with one possible 3-month extension
Hours: Up to 37.5 hours per week
Level: APS5-equivalent
