Production Accounts/Administration Officer

Avweld Australasia is seeking an experienced
Production Accounts / Administration Officer
to join our Finance and Administration team. This is a hands‐on role that works closely with both Finance and Production, with responsibility for production costing, sales order processing, customer invoicing and accounts receivable.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining strong financial skills with the practical, day‐to‐day operations of a manufacturing business.
The Role
Reporting to the CFO / Finance Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
Creating and maintaining sales orders in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
Tracking production jobs from receipt through to dispatch, invoicing and payment
Maintaining accurate labour, material and subcontractor costing
Preparing customer invoices and statements
Managing accounts receivable and following up overdue accounts
Investigating and resolving production costing and invoicing discrepancies
Allocating subcontractor invoices to production orders
Assisting with month‐end invoicing, reporting and reconciliations
Maintaining accurate financial and production records
Preparing dispatch documentation and coordinating transport providers
Liaising with customers, suppliers, subcontractors and freight providers
Working closely with the Finance and Production teams
Identifying opportunities to improve systems and processes
About You
We are looking for someone who is organised, accurate and comfortable working in a busy manufacturing environment.
Ideally, you will have:
A minimum of
3 years' experience
in finance, production administration or accounts receivable within a manufacturing environment
Strong experience with
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
Sound knowledge of production costing, invoicing and accounts receivable
Robust Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Good communication and customer service skills
The ability to work independently while also being a strong team player
A practical approach to problem‐solving and continuous improvement
A relevant Accounting, Finance or Business qualification would be advantageous
A forklift license would also be advantageous
