OVERVIEW The International Partnerships Adviser supports the University of Melbourne's global engagement strategy through high-impact international partnerships, with a strong focus on India and South Asia.
This full time fixed-term role sits within Global Culture and Engagement in Chancellery and contributes to Strategy **** and Advancing Melbourne Globally **** initiatives.
The position involves strategic intelligence, project coordination, partnership development, and stakeholder engagement to strengthen international collaboration, research, education initiatives, and sustainable revenue opportunities.
Key responsibilities
Produce intelligence briefs, market analysis, and reports focused on India to support partnership decisions and global engagement priorities.
Contribute to business cases, proposals, and implementation plans for international partnerships and projects.
Support the development and delivery of regional strategies, institutional partnerships, and education and research collaborations.
Identify and progress international business development opportunities, including transnational and executive education initiatives in Indian markets.
Coordinate visits, delegations, events, and Melbourne Global Centre
Maintain effective stakeholder engagement, records management, and follow-up actions.
Collaborate with faculties, university leaders, governments, and international partners on global initiatives.
Contribute to improving processes, systems, and frameworks for partnership management and reporting.
Requirements
Relevant degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing briefings, reports, presentations, and stakeholder correspondence.
Ability to coordinate complex administrative and project activities with sound judgement, diplomacy, discretion, and confidentiality.
Strong cross-cultural relationship-building and collaboration skills.
Demonstrated project management capability with strong attention to detail and timely delivery of outcomes.
Ability to support the development and implementation of processes, systems, and frameworks for partnership management and reporting.
Current valid work rights for Australia.
Working with Children Check requirement.
