$75,882 to $77,489 per annum + 13.5% superannuation.
About the role
Join the City of Hobart and help shape and facilitate community access to some of Tasmania's most valued bushland environments.
As the Team Leader Bushland Infrastructure, you will lead a skilled team responsible for constructing, maintaining and improving Hobart's extensive network of bushland assets, including walking tracks, fire trails and associated infrastructure.
You will coordinate day-to-day operations, oversee contractors and volunteers, support project delivery and ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
This is a hands-on leadership role that combines people leadership, operational planning and practical fieldwork.
You will work across diverse environments, from urban bushland reserves through to alpine areas, and play a key role in responding to seasonal challenges including snow and ice management and bushland emergencies.
You are an experienced supervisor or team leader with a passion for outdoor environments and the ability to bring out the best in your team.
You combine practical experience in infrastructure construction and maintenance with strong planning, coordination and leadership skills.
You are confident leading people in challenging environments, promoting safe work practices and delivering quality outcomes on time.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Experience leading field-based teams and coordinating operational work programs.
Knowledge of bushland infrastructure construction and maintenance, including recreational tracks, fire trails, or similar assets.




Strong organisational and project coordination skills, with the ability to monitor and report on work programs and projects.
A demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and experience supervising staff in the safe use of equipment and machinery.
The ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders and foster a positive team culture.
Most importantly, you are someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining public assets, and is motivated by making a tangible contribution to Hobart's natural environment.
