About the Opportunity
Join NT PHNin anEnterpriseRisk and GovernanceLeadrole andberesponsible forensuring that the organisation's governance, compliance, and risk functions are aligned to strategic priorities, and that these functions are compliant with internal policy, external regulations, and funding requirements.
To do this,you willlead a team to develop andmaintainessential compliance and governance processes across the organisation including enterprise risk management, privacy, data and information security incident response, and compliance management.
About You
You have:
Knowledge or training equivalent to a relevant degree and/or an equivalent combination of management skills, relevantexperienceand/or education /training.
Demonstrated experience andexpertisein developing corporate governance, compliance, and risk management systems, preferably in a responsive service delivery organisation.
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, initiative, and experience in developing and implementing efficient and effective business processes to meet diverse requirements.
Demonstrated strong interpersonal, engagement and relationship building skills with a proven ability to build andmaintaincollaborative relationships with a wide range of internal and external clients, partners and stakeholders in an environment requiring cultural sensitivity.
Demonstratedhigh levelanalytical and written communication skills to provide expert andtimelyadvice and produce clear and effective documentation relating to risk and governance issues.
Leadership skills, with a proven record of leading high performing teams that deliver exceptional, client focused results.
Proven strategic thinking skills and judgementrequiredtoidentifyand respond to complex matters through well considered organisational responses with the ability to find opportunities to create value across the organisation.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritise complex workloads while working autonomously.
About the Role
Key priorities include:
Leading the design, implementation, and management of an effective enterprise risk management framework.
Holding the title of, and delivering the duties associated with, the NT PHN Privacy Officer, including the design, implementation, and management of the privacy management framework and data governance framework, and leading data breach and cyber incident investigationsin partnership with the Chief Information Officer and their team.
Coordinating and undertaking internal audits and audit preparedness activities relating to ISO **** and ISO ***** tomonitorcompliance, provide assurance, and support continuous improvement.
Managing the engagement and oversight of external providers where ISO-related internal or preparedness audits are outsourced, ensuring quality, timeliness, and alignment with organisational assurance and certification requirements.
Coordinating the broader internal audit program, outside of ISO-related audits, in partnership with the internal audit partner.
Interpreting and translating funding and contract obligations into policy or procedural documentation to support compliance with funding and/or regulatory requirements and to inform decision-making.
Leading the development and maintenance of an organisational compliance management system to ensure compliance to organisational, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
Managing emerging issues relating to risk,governanceand compliance in collaboration with Senior Managers and/or the Senior Executive Leadership team, CEO and Board asrequired.
Building organisational competence and capacity in relation to risk and compliance through guidance, training, and mentoring.
Representingthe knowledgeable, effective, and professional image of NT PHN in line with organisational values and behaviours.
Providing effective coaching, mentoring and professional development to direct reports, and applyingappropriate recruitment, induction, and performance management principles to build a high performing team.
