About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and organised Rostering and Admin Officer to join the D.A.C.C.S team on a contract basis. Based in Chambers Flat, QLD ****, this role is fundamental to the smooth operation of our administrative functions and service delivery. You will be responsible for managing staff rosters, coordinating scheduling activities and providing comprehensive administrative support across the organisation. This position plays a vital part in ensuring our care services run efficiently and our staff are appropriately scheduled to meet the needs of our service users.
Key responsibilities
Creating, managing and updating staff rosters to ensure adequate coverage for all care services
Scheduling shifts in accordance with staff availability, qualifications and service requirements
Processing leave requests and managing employee time-off records
Maintaining accurate and confidential staff records and documentation
Providing administrative support to management and operational teams
Coordinating communication between staff and management regarding scheduling changes
Maintaining office systems, filing records and managing databases




Supporting the organisation with general administrative duties as required
Ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures in all administrative functions
What we're looking for
Minimum 1 year experience using Shift Care rostering program software
Proven experience in rostering, scheduling or similar administrative coordination roles
Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and data entry
Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and Outlook
Solid written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with staff at all levels
Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive staff and organisational information
Ability to work independently and as part of a team environment
Customer-service focused attitude with a commitment to supporting the organisation's mission
Experience working in the health, aged care or community services sector would be advantageous
