Aerodrome Reporting Officer
About the Role
Overseeing aerodrome conditions and associated maintenance of accurate and compliant records
Conduct daily and non-routine aerodrome serviceability inspections and ARO duties as per CASA regulations
Supervising aerodrome remedial works (Works Safety Officer Duties)
Transmission of Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) to Air services
Flight line operations including aircraft marshalling, loading/unloading of baggage and freight, aircraft stairs, belt loader operations, passenger marshalling, aircraft parking bay allocation (apron management)
Delivery of airport Terminal Operations - passenger check-in (Sabre, Amadeus, IFIDS, Avantik, FMMA, iCargo), radio calls and completion of flight manifests, load sheets, operational liaison with aircraft crew and staff from both mine and aircraft operations.
Understanding and management of the BHP Material Risk for Aviation by active Field Leadership through CCOs, PTCs & TTTs
Aerodrome Maintenance – Slashing/Mowing/Brush Cutting/Pruning, RWY & Apron Sweeping, Weed Management, minor fence repairs, etc.
Daily & Weekly GSE Checks/Minor Maintenance
Daily & Weekly Housekeeping duties (Terminal, Offices, storerooms, containers, inventory checks, Carpark, etc.)
Conduct Airport Inductions for contractors, new staff and visitors.
Airport Emergency Response – participate in aerodrome emergency response training with a focus on aviation emergency response, perform ER duties as allocated daily.
Airport Security – awareness of hidden dangerous goods and airport security requirements
About You
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a similar role
Aerodrome Reporting Officer / Works Safety Officer (ARO/WSO)
Qualification - Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience
Airline Ground Handling Experience (Virgin/VARA & Alliance Airlines – Demonstrated experience and qualifications with B737/ A320 & F100 aircraft types)
Air Freight Processing - Demonstrated experience
Passenger Processing – Demonstrated experience with Sabre, Avantik, FMMA.
VAA/ VARA IFIDS dispatching software
Aerodrome Dangerous Goods Awareness Certificate
Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate (AROC)
LR/MR Manual driver's license (preferred)
Attributes:
