We are seeking an experienced
Practice Nurse - RN
to join the team at Juno Specialists in Richmond. This is a
part-time position(2-3 days per week).
As a Practice Nurse, you will be central to providing excellent clinical support and patient management within our specialist practice setting. This role is essential to ensuring our patients receive comprehensive, coordinated care alongside our specialist medical teams. We are seeking nurses who are able to work without support as you will be the only Nurse on staff on the days you are rostered.
What you'll be doing
Providing direct patient care including assessments, vaccinations, wound management, injections and other nursing interventions as required
Supporting patients with chronic disease management and health maintenance programmes
Assisting specialist GP's during consultations and procedures
Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with healthcare regulations and best practice standards
Educating patients on health conditions, treatment options and preventative care measures
Performing routine clinical observations including blood pressure, temperature and other vital signs monitoring
Coordinating referrals and follow-up appointments to ensure continuity of care
Contributing to the maintenance of a safe, hygienic clinical environment and adhering to infection prevention and control protocols
Collaborating with the wider healthcare team to support patient outcomes and practice objectives
Assisting admin staff on reception and other duties as needed as a collaborative team environment
What we're looking for
Current nursing registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Nurse immuniser certificate or willingness to obtain ASAP
Demonstrated experience in general medical practices or women's/children's health
Robust clinical assessment and decision-making skills with the ability to work autonomously
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to build rapport with diverse patient populations
Proficiency in electronic health record systems and medical software applications Eg; Best Practice
Knowledge of contemporary nursing practices, clinical guidelines and evidence-based care principles
Commitment to continuing professional development and maintaining clinical competency
A patient-centred approach and dedication to delivering compassionate, high-quality care
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment
Experience with accreditation and maintaining accreditation standards
Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
