Enrolled Nurse | Transition to Speciality Program
Across our Operating Theatres, we care for patients undergoing a diverse range of surgical procedures, with varying clinical needs and levels of acuity. As part of the
Transition to Speciality Program
, you'll have the opportunity to develop your clinical knowledge and practical skills as a Scrub/Scout Nurse, within a supportive and collaborative perioperative setting.
You'll work alongside a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, anaesthetists, perioperative nurses, theatre technicians and other healthcare professionals. With the support of experienced clinicians, educators and leaders, the program provides structured education, hands‐on learning and opportunities to build your confidence and competence in the operating theatre environment.
The
Transition to Speciality Program
is designed to support nurses as they take the next step in their nursing journey, providing a strong foundation in perioperative nursing and opportunities for ongoing professional development.
PROGRAM DETAILS
Start with a
fully paid 6-week training program (26th of October)
that blends classroom learning and real clinical practice.
Week 1:
Foundational theory-based training, supported by an experienced educator.
Weeks 2-6:
Supernumerary, hands on training within the operating theatres.

What You'll Need
At least 2years post graduate nursing experience in a hospital setting.
Current
AHPRA registration
Availability to join a 24/7 rotating roster
A genuine passion for delivering excellent patient care
A commitment to show up, learn, ask questions, and grow
Working With Children Check (upon successful application)
Able to provide or complete a National Criminal History Check (upon successful application)
