The Role
This is a varied Consultant Anaesthetics position offering exposure across a broad range of clinical presentations and surgical specialties.
You will:
Provide high-quality anaesthetic care across
adult, paediatric and obstetric patients
Manage a diverse range of elective and emergency surgical cases
Participate in
clinical research and quality improvement initiatives
Contribute to the ongoing review and development of clinical practice
Work collaboratively within an experienced multidisciplinary team
Contribute to the delivery and ongoing development of regional anaesthetic services
About You
We would welcome applications from:
FANZCA-qualified Consultant Anaesthetists
Specialists eligible for registration with the
Medical Board of Australia/AHPRA
Rural Generalist Anaesthetists
with appropriate qualifications and experience
Internationally trained Anaesthetists with
comparable specialist qualifications
who may be eligible to pursue specialist recognition in Australia
Ideally, you will bring:
Experience providing anaesthetic services across a broad range of surgical specialties
Confidence managing
adult, paediatric and obstetric anaesthesia
Previous regional or rural experience, although this is not essential for the right candidate
Experience in
thoracic and vascular anaesthesia
would be highly regarded
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A collaborative approach and ability to establish effective working relationships across multidisciplinary teams
