Shangri-La Sydney is seeking an accomplished Executive Pastry Chef to join our culinary leadership team and lead our fully operational pastry kitchens.
This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and commercially minded leader to make an impact across one of Sydney's busiest and most diverse hotel food and beverage operations. The scope includes High Tea on Level 36, Altitude Restaurant, our signature dining destination, Blu Bar on 36, our signature bar and restaurant, Café Mix all-day dining, the Lobby Lounge, in-room dining and a substantial banqueting operation encompassing conferences, weddings and major events. Our high-volume breakfast operation also provides a significant prospect for innovation, quality and consistency.
The role offers considerable scope to create signature products and memorable guest experiences across luxury dining, high-volume service and special events.
You will lead, develop and inspire a large,



talented and committed pastry brigade, ranging from apprentices through to sous chefs. This role requires a leader who can balance creativity and beautiful presentation with outstanding flavour, consistency, productivity and commercial performance, while mentoring the next generation of pastry professionals.
