About the Role The Manager, Asset Operations owns the operational integrity of asset and cash records across reconciliations, standing settlement instructions and static data, asset valuation, and unlisted unit trust operations.
You will ensure the books of record remain complete and accurate, driving reconciliation and valuation exceptions to closure, and maintaining the reference data required for reliable transaction processing and reporting.
Sitting at the heart of our Custody operations, you will work closely with Trade Middle Office, Corporate Actions,



Fund Accounting and external counterparties to maintain a controlled and efficient Operations environment.
Key responsibilities include Own daily cash, position and value reconciliations between the books of record, sub-custodian records and relevant manager, registry or clearer statements.
Drive reconciliation break management, including investigation, ageing, escalation, root-cause analysis and resolution to closure.
Own SSI, account, security master and static/reference data maintenance, ensuring changes are independently reviewed, authorised and accurately implemented.
Oversee asset valuation and pricing inputs, including review of Bloomberg or other approved sources, stale or missing prices and valuation exceptions.
Own unlisted unit trust operations, including subscriptions, redemptions, switches, settlement monitoring, registry communication and transaction record maintenance.
Monitor operational completeness and data quality across asset records, valuations and unit trust holdings, escalating material discrepancies and risks.
Build and maintain the Asset Operations control framework, procedures, evidence, service standards and management reporting.
Lead and develop the Asset Operations team by allocating workload, setting priorities,



coaching staff and managing service quality and performance.
About you!
You'll bring: Tertiary qualification in Finance, Business, Commerce or related discipline, or equivalent experience Demonstrated experience in trade operations, settlements or middle office within fund administration, custody or asset management Hands-on experience across the trade lifecycle in a managed funds environment, including resolving fails and exceptions with brokers and custodians Strong attention to detail and risk awareness, with sound judgement under deadline pressure Confident counterparty and stakeholder engagement Ability to balance processing efficiency with control and client outcomes Experience with CTM and an investment accounting/IBOR platform (FIS InvestOne), Bloomberg and advanced Excel Ability to operate autonomously and build a function, coaching analysts as the team grows Why join Automic: You'll be part of a team where operational excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement are genuinely valued.
