We're looking for an experienced and solutions-focused Technical Officer to join our Strategic Assets and Development team.

About the Role As a Technical Officer, you'll be responsible for managing and monitoring a portfolio of housing assets to ensure properties remain safe, compliant and fit for purpose.
Working closely with contractors, tenants and internal stakeholders, you'll oversee maintenance, refurbishment and vacancy works while contributing to the long-term performance and sustainability of our housing portfolio.
This is a hands-on role that combines technical expertise,
project management and stakeholder engagement to deliver high-quality outcomes for our tenants and communities.
Key Responsibilities Manage vacancy works from scoping through to completion and handover, minimising turnaround times and vacancy loss Conduct technical inspections and condition assessments across the housing portfolio Scope, coordinate and monitor responsive, planned and refurbishment works Issue work orders and provide technical advice to support maintenance activities Monitor contractor performance through pre-work, progress and post-work inspections Coordinate defect rectification works and ensures compliance with legislative and organisational requirements Review and coordinate property modification requests based on Occupational Therapist recommendations Contribute to long-term asset management planning and maintenance strategies Build strong relationships with tenants, contractors and internal stakeholders to deliver effective maintenance outcomes About You You will bring: A current trade qualification in a relevant field such as Carpentry, Plumbing or Electrical A current unrestricted driver's licence At least 5 years' experience in asset management, construction, maintenance or works delivery environments Strong knowledge of building maintenance, construction materials and asset lifecycle management Experience managing contractors,
