Babcock proudly delivers Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) on behalf of Ambulance Victoria, operating from bases in Essendon, Bendigo, Warrnambool and the Latrobe Valley. Key Responsibilities
Conduct safe flight operations complying with CASA, contractual and post-flight husbandry requirements
Ensure security and safe configuration of cabin and equipment
Other tasks as designated by the Senior Base Aircrew Officer or Chief Aircrew Officer
Essential Requirements
Five hundred (500) hours experience as an Aircrew Officer
Hoist operator endorsements held for greater than twelve (12) months, with appropriate experience, or military endorsement
NVIS endorsement and experience
One hundred and fifty (150) hours experience in EMS




Current HUET with EBS
Front Left Seat experience AW139
Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) and Provide Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy (HLTAID015)
Hold a CASA Class 2 Medical Certificate
Certificate IV in Aviation AVI***** (Aircrewman) or AVI***** (Aircrew Officer), or Certificate IV in Airborne Operations (AVI*****)
Be an enthusiastic, focused skilled with a growth mindset
Must have the right to live and work in Australia
