We are seeking a Survey Assistant to join our Brisbane Survey team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to build a career in surveying and gain practical, hands‐on experience working alongside experienced Surveyors. As a Survey Assistant, you will support our surveyors with field‐based surveying activities and general office duties, learning the fundamentals of surveying while contributing to a range of projects. You will have the opportunity to work in a practical, team‐focused environment and develop your technical skills through on‐the‐job experience and training.
Key responsibilities
Assisting Surveyors with field surveying and set‐out activities
Performing basic survey tasks in accordance with your level of experience and Fyfe's quality systems
Assisting with the preparation and organisation of equipment and requirements for upcoming field work
Maintaining survey equipment, vehicles and other company assets in a safe, clean and appropriate condition
Completing survey documentation accurately and clearly
Participating in pre‐starts, toolbox talks and team meetings as required
Providing project updates and information to Surveyors and project teams
About you
A current manual driver's licence
A genuine interest in pursuing a career in surveying, construction or the broader spatial industry
A willingness to learn and develop new technical skills




The ability to work autonomously when required and take responsibility for assigned tasks
A willingness and ability to work outdoors and in varying environmental conditions
The ability to work away from home for extended periods, where required
