Transport Operations & Logistics, Train Driver
Aurizon is currently seeking a Locomotive Driver position in the Central Queensland team in Rockhampton. About the role:
Master Roster line working which includes local, NCL and Western services. IML project work when required and QCL on occasion.
Operation of locomotives including mainline, shunting, and marshalling
Examine and certify trains as ready for departure
Work in accordance with Aurizon's safety and operational standards and procedures
Maintain a high level of on-time running
Prepare and conduct brake testing on locomotives
Provide high quality customer service to enable Aurizon to meet its set business objectives
About you:
A Certificate IV in Rail Operations.
Must be available to work 24/7 shift roster.
Experience in QLD Safeworking System and CQCN Route knowledge is advantageous but not essential.
Extensive freight and/or heavy haulage locomotive driving experience.
Able to work autonomously and adapt to part of a larger team across different business areas.
Willing to learn ATP systems and develop regional network knowledge across Mackay, Maryborough and Emerald.
Available for camp-based work, local yard duties and locomotive provisioning as required.
Eager to learn, grow and contribute to a high-performing team culture.
