The Company Our client is a global investment management organisation with a dedicated Office of the Superannuation Trustee responsible for the governance and oversight of its superannuation trustee.
This office exists to safeguard members' best financial interests, supporting a Board made up of a majority of independent, non-executive directors and upholding rigorous standards of governance and regulatory excellence.
The Opportunity This is a newly established, dedicated Company Secretary role sitting within the Office of the Superannuation Trustee.
You'll be the sole Company Secretary supporting the Board and four Board Committees, with genuine scope to shape and build out the function as your own.
It's a full-time, Sydney-based opportunity.
Key Accountabilities Manage the annual Board and Committee meeting calendar, coordinating agendas, papers and scheduling across four Board Committees Prepare accurate, high-quality minutes and proactively manage follow-up on action items Oversee statutory and governance lodgements, ensuring obligations are met accurately and on time Support director induction and ongoing education, including maintaining the Board skills matrix Contribute to reviews of Committee Terms of Reference and Board Charters to support continuous improvement Act as a key point of contact for directors, providing timely and relevant information to support effective decision-making Manage board portals and secure document-sharing platforms to support confidential and efficient information flow Ideal Experience Previous experience in a Company Secretary or Assistant Company Secretary capacity,
