Synergie Australia is seeking a Payroll Manager for a part-time contract opportunity with a leading luxury hotel based in Southbank, Melbourne.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a renowned hospitality organisation and oversee payroll operations across multiple hotel locations.
Working closely with the People Culture team, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing while providing payroll support, reporting and guidance to managers and employees across the business.
The important parts: Pay: $ 50-$55 per hour + Super Term: 7-month fixed-term contract (October **** – May ****) Location: Southbank, Melbourne (Onsite) Start: October **** What you will be required to do: You will be responsible for managing payroll operations and ensuring compliance across a multi-site environment.
Process accurate and timely fortnightly payrolls Ensure compliance with relevant Awards, payroll legislation and employment obligations Manage payroll records, reporting and payroll administration processes Provide payroll advice and support to managers and employees Monitor payroll-related benefits, deductions, allowances and leave entitlements Liaise with key stakeholders regarding employment changes and payroll matters Support payroll reporting, reconciliations and analysis Maintain payroll compliance and identify opportunities for process improvement Assist with WorkCover administration and associated payroll activities To be successful in the role you will:



Have demonstrated payroll management or senior payroll experience Possess strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and Award interpretation Have experience processing payroll within a medium-to-large organisation Bring excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy Demonstrate strong organisational and time management skills Have advanced payroll systems and Microsoft Excel skills Possess excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities Be able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment Highly regarded: Experience within hospitality, tourism or multi-site organisations Exposure to Hospitality Industry (General) Award (HIGA) Experience with payroll reporting and analysis WorkCover administration experience Experience managing complex payroll environments with multiple Awards What's on offer for you: Work with a recognised and respected hospitality organisation Supportive and collaborative People Culture team Attractive Southbank location Flexible part-time arrangement across three days per week Prospect to make an immediate impact during a key parental leave cover period Professional and supportive workplace culture Synergie Australia delivers a full 360o recruitment solution, consisting of temporary and permanent recruitment services , and more.
