AML/CTF Quality Review Specialist - Financial Crime Opportunities | Manila | Permanent | Hybrid WhiteLight AML is partnering with a global financial services client as they expand their AML and Financial Crime operations in Manila.
We are seeking experienced Quality Review Analysts to join the Monitoring Investigations function and provide quality oversight across AML and financial crime investigation activity supporting the Australian market.
This role is ideal for an experienced AML investigator, Quality Analyst or financial crime professional who has an exceptional eye for detail and enjoys reviewing complex work, challenging decisions and ensuring investigation standards are consistently maintained.
The Opportunity As a Quality Review Analyst, you will review work completed by AML Compliance Specialists and Senior Specialists to ensure investigations, decisions and case documentation meet internal standards and relevant regulatory expectations.
This is not simply a process-checking role.
We are looking for people who genuinely understand AML investigations, transactional behaviour and financial crime risk, and who can critically assess whether an investigation has been completed accurately, thoroughly and logically.
Key Responsibilities Conduct quality reviews of AML and financial crime investigations Review decisions and investigation rationale completed by Specialists and Senior Specialists Assess whether relevant risks, red flags and transactional patterns have been appropriately identified and investigated Ensure AML, financial crime and investigation procedures have been followed correctly Identify errors, gaps or inconsistencies in investigation work Provide clear and constructive quality feedback Ensure investigation narratives and supporting documentation are accurate, complete and well structured Review matters involving money laundering, terrorist financing,



fraud and other financial crime risks Support consistent application of Western Union's quality and regulatory standards Identify recurring quality issues and opportunities for improvement Work closely with Specialists, Senior Specialists and Supervisors to maintain a high-quality investigative environment What We're Looking For You will ideally bring: Strong previous experience within AML, KYC, transaction monitoring, financial crime investigations or quality assurance Strong understanding of AML and financial crime investigation methodology Previous quality review / QA experience is highly regarded Ability to identify weaknesses or gaps within an investigation Strong understanding of suspicious transactional patterns and financial crime indicators Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Strong written English and documentation skills Ability to assess evidence objectively and challenge conclusions where appropriate Highly organised and structured working style Solid analytical and investigative mindset Ability to maintain high-quality standards while working within a volume-driven operational environment Attention to detail is particularly important for this position What's On Offer Permanent employment HMO health coverage from Day 1, with dependent options Monday–Friday working week Hybrid working – 3 days per week from the Manila office Structured onboarding and compliance training Opportunity to play a key quality role within an expanding financial crime function Long-term career opportunities with an established global organisation The team supports Australian business operations, so candidates should be comfortable working an early shift, potentially commencing from approximately 6:00am Manila time.
