Leading company in its field Based in Adelaide (Preferred, Open for other locations in Australia) 6 weeks initial assignment with potential to extend Green Light Australia are partnering with a leading company to engage Secuirty Contractor (Cyber Security AI Security) to provide cyber security advisory, assessment, and assurance services across cloud, AI, identity, network, and application security domains.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with Australian security frameworks and industry best practices, while supporting the secure design, deployment, and operation of Azure-based and AI-enabled solutions.
The role requires strong expertise in Azure security, AI security governance, identity management, and secure application development practices.
Experience conducting security assessments, audits, and risk reviews for cloud and AI platforms is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities Conduct security reviews, risk assessments, and security assurance activities for cloud and AI-based solutions.
Assess compliance against: South Australian Cyber Security Framework (SACSF) Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM) ASD Essential Eight Azure Well-Architected Framework security controls Azure AI Well-Architected Framework controls Perform AI security assessments and audits, identifying potential risks, vulnerabilities, and control gaps.
Review and validate security architecture for Azure-based solutions.
Evaluate and strengthen network security controls and cloud security posture.
Design and assess identity and access management controls using Microsoft Entra ID.
Review Azure AI Foundry and Azure OpenAI implementations to ensure appropriate security, governance, and compliance controls are in place.
Assess data protection controls for AI solutions, including data classification,
encryption, access controls, privacy, and data leakage prevention.
Perform secure code reviews and evaluate secure software development practices.
Support implementation and review of: Secure SDLC processes Static Application Security Testing (SAST) Energetic Application Security Testing (DAST) Vulnerability management and remediation activities Provide security recommendations, reports, and actionable remediation guidance to project and technical teams.
Collaborate with architects, developers, infrastructure teams, and stakeholders to embed security by design principles across solutions.
Required Skills Experience Security Frameworks Governance Strong knowledge and practical experience with: South Australian Cyber Security Framework (SACSF) Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM) ASD Essential Eight Azure Well-Architected Framework Azure AI Well-Architected Framework Cloud Platform Security Extensive experience in Azure security and cloud platform security.
Experience securing Azure services, workloads, and infrastructure components.
Knowledge of cloud-native security controls, monitoring, and governance.
Network Security Strong understanding of: Network architecture Segmentation and zero-trust principles Firewalls and network security controls Secure connectivity and access management AI Security Experience conducting AI security assessments and audits.
Strong understanding of AI security risks,
governance, and responsible AI controls.
Knowledge of security controls within Azure AI Foundry and Azure OpenAI environments.
Identity Access Management Expertise in Microsoft Entra ID security.
Experience implementing and reviewing: Conditional Access Privileged Identity Management (PIM) Multifactor Authentication (MFA) Identity governance and access controls Data Protection Experience designing and assessing controls for: Data classification Data encryption Data loss prevention (DLP) Privacy and regulatory compliance AI data security and governance Application Security Strong knowledge of: Secure SDLC practices Security-by-design principles Secure code review methodologies SAST and DAST tools and processes Application vulnerability management About the company: We are an Australian onshore services company that provides technology capability across ANZ and Asia.
